Drag and drop menu planning via a web app means you can find recipes, drop them into a personal calendar and create a consolidated shopping list for the week in 15 minutes or less.

Seattle, WA – July 7, 2021 – Relish.com, is a web app that makes recipe discovery, meal planning and grocery shopping quick and easy for more than 100 million monthly users.  Today, Relish launched Relish+, a service that offers next-level functionality, making meal decisions even simpler. Similar to the podcasting model, consumers can subscribe to dozens of Relish+ “fodcasts” authored by popular food bloggers as well as access a library of 100+ pre-planned meal plans for as little as $3.75 a month.

In addition, customers can drag and drop their favorite recipes into a personalized calendar, create their own meal plan, and print a consolidated grocery list for the week in a matter of minutes. “I used to spend my entire Sunday planning dinners for the upcoming week. Now, with Relish+, I can accomplish the same task in a matter of minutes and send my grocery list to Instacart to avoid shopping altogether.  Having my time back on Sundays is invaluable!”  says Shauna of Los Angeles, a working mother-of-two.

55% of grocery shoppers surveyed in a recent study state they have been eating meals much more frequently at home due to the pandemic. This sustained increase over the past year has made people exhausted and they are simply tired of planning meals and selecting new recipes.  They need an affordable solution for weeknight meals. Unlike meal kit services, such as Blue Apron and Hello Fresh, who charge for ingredients and can be quite pricey, meal planning with services like Relish+ can save the typical US household an average of $200 per month off the family food budget.

“As a working mother-of-5 and a veteran in the digital food space, I was frustrated that all the existing software solutions didn’t solve everyday, real-life problems.  In part, this is because mom’s have not been involved in building the software even though they tend to do the majority of the cooking and shopping in the US. Relish+ is different!  We have worked from day one in collaboration with top food bloggers and moms to make sure Relish works for them” states Lisa Sharples, co-CEO of Fexy and former CEO and President of Allrecipes.com.

Relish includes a network of 20+ trusted recipe websites including popular blogs like Skinnytaste, Two Peas and Their Pod, Simply Recipes and more. Weekly meal plans are published regularly for Relish+ members around themes such as “Quick & Healthy” and “30-Minute Meals.” There are over 100 meal plans consumers can subscribe to around different themes and by well-known recipe authors.

Relish plans to add new features to the Relish+ membership each month in response to what the members ask for next. “We want to keep solving problems for our members so they can spend more time with their families and spend less time stressing about ‘what’s for dinner?’” comments Ms. Sharples.

A Love Letter from Seattle to the World

Today we are humbled by the love in our big little Emerald City – a love as boisterous as the Pike Place Market used to be just a few weeks ago…as palpable as the laughter and chatter once heard in the busy downtown restaurants, now only open for takeout. Today, this love glints off the digital airwaves like the sun sparkling on the Puget Sound as we shift our connections online rather than in-line at our neighborhood coffee shops.
